Information team of State Administration Council holds press conference (7/2021)
The information team of the State Administration Council held its press conference (7/2021) at the Ministry of Information here this morning. Team leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Union Election Commission member U Khin Maung Oo, departmental spokespersons and departmental information team representatives answered the questions raised by the media.
Before the press conference, officials arranged COVID-19 preventive activities and placed those in attendance with social distancing.
Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun gave an in-depth explanation of the Russian visit by the SAC Chair-man Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, prepared-ness measures for the COVID-19 pandemic, education matters, activities of terrorist organizations and fake news and the accounts made by those who got involved in bomb attacks and terrorist acts through PowerPoint presentation and video clips.
Next, UEC member U Khin Maung Oo clarified progress in the scrutiny and findings of the voter lists, on-ground inspection and issuance of the ballot papers and activities found illegal and measures to be continued by the UEC through PowerPoint presentation. Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, UEC member U Khin Maung Oo and departmental information team representatives replied to the queries raised by the reporters from news agencies. Then, the press conference concluded.
Afterwards, the attendees viewed round facts and data about the press conference, those arrested for their involvement in terrorist acts and their accomplices, the ongoing activities by the UEC and inspection and findings of the voter lists display-ed at the press conference for media references.
