Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win visits officers, other ranks, families and local residents receiving treatments  in Defence Services Hospital

Vice Chairman of State Admini-stration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Com-mander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, accompanied by senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and  Air) and the com-mander of Eastern Command visited the Defence Services Hospital in Fort Bahtoo this morning and indivi-dually comforted the officers, other ranks, families and local residents receiving treatments at the hospital.

First, the Vice-Senior General and party heard reports on healthcare services provided to officers, other ranks, families and local residents at the hospital presented at the meeting hall of the hospital by the commandant of the hospital and attended to the needs.

Then, the Vice-Senior General and party asked after the conditions of officers, other ranks, families and local residents and treatments individually and presented foodstuffs for them before inspecting round the kitchens, wards and officers’ dormitory.

Similarly, Daw Than Than Nwe, the wife of the Vice-Senior General, and party comforted individual female patients from families and local community receiving treatments at female wards at the hospital and presented foodstuffs for them.

The Defence Services hospital not only provides healthcare services to officers, other ranks and families round the clock but also receives patients from local communities who have faced difficulties for treatments to contribute to the health of the public. Since February 2021 until now, the hospital has given treatments to 417 outpatients, 359 inpatients and 103 women including 50 women who gave birth to their children in operation and 53 women who delivered babies normally.

Afterwards, the Vice-Senior Ge-neral and party had lunch together with trainees at the mess of the Warrant Officer and Sergeant Training School of Fort Bahtoo. Then, the Vice-Senior General in-spected the seasonal crop plantations, tissue-banana plantations, dairy farm and pig breeding farm of the training school.

Then, the Vice-Senior General and party heard reports on training programs and capacity building tasks of military training schools presented by commandants of mili-tary training schools in Fort Bahtoo at the meeting hall of the three-storey lecture hall of Defence Ser-vices (Army) Combat Training School. The Vice-Senior General made suggestions on conducting advance courses in accordance with changing military strategies, reviews of weaknesses in respective subjects after completion of trainings and conducting refresher courses before fulfilling the requirements. Then, the Vice-Senior General and party inspected round the classroom where trainee officers were attending the infantry platoon commander’s course.
