Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Commanderin-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win meets chairman and members of Mandalay Region Administration Council

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win met with the chairman and members of Mandalay Region Administration Council this afternoon.

First, the Vice-Senior General and party arrived at the Office of Mandalay Region Administration Council and delivered an address to Chairman U Maung Ko and members of Mandalay Region Administration Council.

In his speech, the Vice-Senior General highlighted the importance of policies and guidances adopted at the meetings led by the chairman of the State Administration Council, cooperation among the Myanmar Police Force, Tatmadaw, administrative bodies and local residents who appreciate peace for community peace and tranquility, detailed measures for prevention of the penetration of terrorists in wards and townships and efforts to arrest those who are playing the leading role in CDM and CRPH movements and terrorist acts as soon as possible and to take effective action against them in accordance with the law.

Then, the Vice-Senior General urged the chairman and members to cooperate for reopening of banks township-wise, to exert efforts by authorities at various levels to help recover the economy derailed by the impacts of COVID-19, to take measures to supply sufficient electricity to businesses by increased utilization of renewable energy and solar power and to explore ways and means to implement medium-size hydropower projects. The Vice-Senior General emphasized the cooperation for smooth transportation, enhanced local production and development of tourism. Concerning health and education, the Vice-Senior General explained the measures for accelerated vaccination against COVID-19, arrangements for sufficient supply of vaccines against COVID-19, responsibilities of doctors to provide healthcare services to the public in accordance with their professional ethics, the needs to cooperate with local battalions for improvement of security and physical features of schools as plans are underway to reopen basic education primary,

middle and high schools in the upcoming academic year, and providing necessary assistance for conducting refresher courses for primary, middle and high school teachers under the arrangement of the Ministry of Education.

Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General heard reports on progress of work presented by the chairman of Mandalay Region Administration Council and fulfilled the requirements.
