Tatmadaw successfully seized Taungyoe Phayagon Hill temporarily stationed by TNLA insurgents, at the distance of about 4,000 meters, in the northwest of Namhsan, northern Shan State on 17 September.
Taking advantage of unilateral ceasefire period by Tatmadaw, the insurgents of TNLA are committing destructive acts taking the cover of religious structures on Taungyoe Phayagon Hill in Nam-hsan, where some government departments are located. The clashes between Tatmadaw military columns taking security measures and the insurgents of TNLA broke out for six times from 13 to 16 September. Tatmadaw took control of in and around that place. Tatmadaw columns successfully occupied Taungyoe Phayagon Hill where the insurgents temporarily stationed as they fought TNLA insurgents bravely with the help of supporting fire at about 6.50 am on September 17.
Tatmadaw seized five motorbikes, 45 fire trenches taking cover against religious structures, five bunkers and some soldiers of Tatmadaw lost lives and some other officers and other ranks sustained injuries.
Tatmadaw military columns go on taking security measures for the prevalence of peace and stability and rule of law in the conflictaffected area.
