The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, currently in Lao People’s Democratic Republic, arrived at the office of Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) in Laos on 21 October evening and met with families of the embassy and the office of the military attaché and officer trainees.
Firstly, the Vice-Senior General and party were welcomed by Myanmar Ambassador to Laos U Ko Ko Naing and wife, Myanmar Military Attaché Brig-Gen Kyaw Soe Min and wife, families of the embassy and the office of the military attaché, and officer trainees.
At the meeting, the Vice-Senior General explained the objectives of the goodwill trip, existing relations between the two governments and between the two armed forces, and the need for discharging respective duties conscientiously for the State and the Tatmadaw, and gave instructions to those families for taking special care of their health and education, and to officer trainees for their development of studying language course.
Following the meeting, the Vice-Senior General presented foodstuff and gifts to the Ambassador, the Military attaché, families of Myanmar Embassy and the Office of the Military Attaché and officer trainees. Afterwards, the Vice-Senior General and party enjoyed dinner hosted by families of the embassy and Office of the Military Attaché.
Later, the Vice-Senior General and party viewed nigh market on the bank of Mekong River.
