The Tatmadaw is also raising dairy cows. As the country has a sound foundation for livestock breeding, foreign exchange can be saved if dairy cow breeding is implemented properly and dairy products can be produced. The government would like to encourage entrepreneurs to raise dairy cows successfully as PyinOoLwin will be prosperous if dairy cows are raised systematically. There are three systems of dairy cow breeding as pasture-based breeding, dry lot breeding and enclosed breeding (freestall), which can be more successful if systematically implemented. Cattle are fed with green feed made from maize, paddy, pulses, barley and wheat. It will be beneficial if milk yields are high as a result of systematic breeding and feeding.

As for making cream, PyinOo-Lwin is a hub for cream making. It is necessary to take measures to produce quality cream, pack the products properly and distribute them to the entire country. It will be more profitable if value-added foodstuffs from dairy products and crops are cultivated in the region. The government will offer as much assistance and has been helping small and medium enterprises. It is important to utilize land plots allocated for livestock breeding properly.
