Arms, ammunition, related accessories seized in precinct of Manizawtika  Monastery in Khule Village of Singu Township in Mandalay Region

Terrorist group CRPH and NUG are committing terrorist attacks for their interests in guise of the politics in order to undermine the peace and stability of the State and rule of law.

They brought arms and ammunition to be used in terror attacks in various ways and kept these items in some monasteries which initiate the faith for the majority people, encourage the terror acts abusing the religion and commit it themselves.

Security forces are performing necessary investigation to prevent terror acts. Acting on tip-off given by a dutiful person that illegal arms, ammunition and related accessories were kept in the precinct of Manizawtika Monastery in Khule Village in Singu Township of Mandalay Region, the monastery was raided and these items were seized on the evening of 8 December. In this regard, according to the confession of U Acara,4 vasa(a) U Nyi Naing, 39, of  the monastery, 20 KAs, 60 magazines, 7,000 rounds of ammunition, 97 grenades, 54 energa grenades, 300 electronic fuses, some 15 viss of gunpowder, 20 each of gun straps and equipment were seized underground, west of the refectory.

According to the information that terrorists took shelter at Myataung Monastery on 35th street between 85th and 86th streets in Mahaaungmye Township in Mandalay Region on 29 July, security forces supplicated the administrative abbot and searched them. They arrested one terrorist together with 14 homemade mines, four large homemade mines and  materials  used  in terror acts. Their further raid exposed one air gun, 14 large homemade mines and some amount of money to be provided to terrorists at the building of U Obhasa.

Likewise, terrorists together with some bank CDM staff wearing traffic police uniforms robbed two vehicles carrying Ks4 billion from branch-1 of Ayeyawady Bank from Bago on mile post 25/5 on Yangon-Mandalay Highway on 13 September.

Arms and ammunition and money were entrusted at Daw Uppasama and Daw Dhammacari from Dhammaduta nunnery in Ward 8 of Oktha Myothit. So, security forces arrested them.

On 5 December, U Pannananda (a) Kyi Nyunt, 66, of Chaytawya Monastery near Lalaung Village of Gonnyindan Village-tract in Ngaputaw Township of Ayeyawady Region was arrested with one pistol, two magazines, 20 rounds of 9mm, one M-16, four magazines, 96 rounds of 5.56mm, three mines and related accessories.

Those in disguise of Buddhist monks and religious leaders and those who stepped stone for keeping explosives in the monasteries and religious centres intentionally commit the acts to wither and fade out the respective religions in accord with the instructions of terrorist group NUG for utter devastation of the country. As such, those in religious  faiths  need  to take conscience for secretly informing the nearest security forces about the moves of terrorists in disguise of religion and terrorist information in time for enabling the government to take severe action against them.
