COVID-19 vaccination continues in different states, regions

Doctors and nurses from public hospitals, medical teams, healthcare workers  and volunteers are working hard to administer COVID-19 vaccines in different  states and regions as the vaccination programme is one of the most important activities in the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 disease.

COVID-19 vaccine is being given daily to target groups regardless of race or  religion including Buddhist monks and nuns, local people over the age of 40,  religious leaders, prisoners, people with disabilities, ethnic armed groups, people with chronic diseases, and people in IDP camps respectively.

Doctors and nurses from public hospitals, medical teams, relevant healthcare workers in collaboration with volunteers have already given COVID-19 vaccines to 10,548 people from 14 townships in northern Shan State, 3,095 people from five townships in eastern Shan State, 11,297 people from 14 townships in Kayin and Mon states, 2,450 people from three townships in Yangon Region, 27,000 people from 26 townships in Ayeyawady

Region, 34,731 people from 10 townships in Rakhine State, 9,637 people from seven districts in Mandalay Region and 1,920 people from Bago Region respectively.Similarly, healthcare officials gave the vaccines to 1,164 students from six townships in northern Shan State, 96 students from eastern Shan State and 971 students from 26 townships in Ayeyawady Region.

It is reported that officials visited the site and coordinated the necessary work.
