State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min  Aung Hlaing inspects township hospital, basic education high school in  Cocogyun, fulfill requirements

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General  Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Council member Admiral Tin Aung San, General Maung Maung Kyaw and Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun, Council Joint-Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union ministers, the Chief Minister of Yangon Region, the commander of Yangon Command, the Yangon Region Minister for Development Affairs and officials, this morning went to Cocogyun of Yangon Region and inspected the Township Public Hospital and the Basic Education High School.

The Senior General and party were welcomed by departmental officials of  the township and officials from the station at the airport. At the meeting hall of the local naval base, the commander of the naval base reported on regional development, weekly and monthly free transport for local people  and commodity by Tatmadaw vessel and aircraft, production of coconut and coconut products, and regional development.

On arrival at Cocogyun Township Public Hospital, the Senior General and  party were welcomed by Medical Superintendent Dr Myo Min Aung and party. At the hall of the hospital, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win  reported on brief history of the hospital, year-wise health care services, improvement of health sector of the locals, fulfillment of staff housings, water and electricity supply for the health staff, control of COVID-19, vaccination, health awareness and situation of no confirm patient in the township, health care services of the Tatmadaw, and health improvement of locals based on regional development and needs of the hospital.

In his response to the reports, the Senior General explained that Cocogyun region was much difficult in transport and food. Since his duty assumption of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, the Senior General said he has been fulfilling the needs of the township for regional development. Although much development can be seen more than the past, the township will face many requirements. Hence, it is necessary to continue fulfillment for regional development, smooth transportation and health care services. Cocogyun, different from other islands, faces hindrance to the distance from the mainland and weather, the Tatmadaw is providing necessary assistance for its development. Hence, local military units, departments concerned and local people need to strive for development of the region.

The Senior General expressed his delightedness for physical and mental  development due to improvement of transport, accommodation and food as well as health care services. Health staff must not be assigned with duty in rotation but they must be deployed in limited terms.

If so, the staff will know the in-depth conditions of health care service and requirements of the local people. Hence, they can serve their duties with emphasis. The departmental staff members need to join hands with the  Tatmadaw for health and socio-economic development.

The Senior General presented foodstuff for the hospital to the medical superintendent. The Senior General and party visited the hospital, cordially comforted the patients and presented foodstuff. At the BEHS of Cocogyun,the headmistress and teachers welcomed the Senior General. At the school hall, Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe reported to the Senior General on academic measures, needs of teachers and more  appointmentAfter hearing the reports, the Senior General stressed the need to secure more success for students in the matriculation examination. Necessary teachers for relevant subjects will be deployed for the students.

Necessary requirements must be fulfilled for the teachers who serve their duties in the remote areas.

With regard to the education sector, the government will follow the 30-year  national education plan of the State. The topics from the past curriculum were edited for difference from the current social system of the country. Up to 2019-2020 academic year, the education system was weak due to lesser percentage of grades in learning.

Teachers must be deployed at the respective schools for betterment of  academic system. Basically, emergence of a larger number of educated persons is a must in the tasks of state building and nation building.

In teaching the students, those students need to have the skills in learning school education and they have to be urged for reading. While serving the State duty, the Senior General said they arrange learning of all school age children to complete the KG+9 (middle education) as the least level. As all people need to have school education, it is necessary to teach all students from the primary level to the university education as much as possible.

The Senior General stressed the need to raise the reading habit for ensuring higher skills and knowledge. The Senior General explained the assumption of the State responsibilities by the Tatmadaw due to voting frauds in the 2020 multi-party general election commission, efforts for the State to continue the path of democracy in line with the public desire, and more development of the nation.

The Senior General presented foodstuffs for teachers and attended to the needs of teachers. In the evening, the Senior General inspected the island circular road Cocogyun and local military units and project to build a connection road in Jerry Island and mainland by car.

The Senior General and party arrived at the coconut and coconut products factory in Cocogyun where officials reported on coconut oil purified plant, production of decoration products and household utensil, and the coconut fiber rope factory. Hearing the reports of officials, the Senior General stressed the need to produce the coconut products on a commercial scale in cooperation with the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development and small-scale industries and sales of products at fair prices.

The Senior General and party viewed the raising of layers, and cultivation of vegetables in the greenhouse in the local naval base and attended to the needs of officials.
