Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing pays homage to Lawka Marazain Buddha Image and Shwe Taungsar Pagoda in Dawei

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General  Min Aung Hlaing , accompanied by members Admiral Tin Aung San and Mahn Nyein Maung and Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the SAC, union ministers U Tin Htut Oo, U Khin Maung Yi, U Aung Than Oo, U Khin Yi, Dr Nyunt Pe and U Shwe Lay, Chief Minister of Taninthayi Region U Myat Ko, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Commander of Coastal Region Command Maj-Gen Saw Than Hlaing and officials, paid homage to the Lawka Marazain Buddha Image and the Shwe Taungsar Pagoda, landmarks of the city, this morning.

First, the Senior General and party offered flowers, water and lights and donated cash to member of the Pagoda Board of Trustees U Kyi Win and  members, who later gave a congratulatory note to the Senior General. Then, the Senior General signed the Guest Book of the image.

Afterwards, the Senior General and party paid homage to the Buddha Image  at the Shwe Taungsar Pagoda and offered flowers, water and lights before circling round the pagoda clockwise.

Then, the Senior General and party offered flowers, water and lights to the Buddha image in the precinct of the historic Po Myat Thai Phwar Shwe Hnone Thamot Novitiaion Hall, inspected round the novitiation hall and gave necessary instructions on preservation of the novitiation hall in its original design.

Afterwards, the Senior General struck the Maha Wizaya Khema Thita Lanibuta Gawta Maha bell in the precinct of the pagoda five times.
