Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives outgoing Australian Ambassador

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Ambassador of Australia H.E. Ms. Andrea Marie Faulkner, who has completed her tour of duty, at the parlour of the office of the SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw this afternoon.

Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Joint Secretary of the council Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Wunna Maung Lwin.

The Australian Ambassador was accompanied by Australian Military Attaché to Myanmar Colonel Anthony Egan and Second Secretary of the embassy Mr. Bryan Bong.

They exchanged views on further maintenance of good relations between two countries, enhancement of cooperation in various sectors between governments and peoples of both countries, political progress in Myanmar, acts of CRPH, NUG and PDF terrorists in committing terror acts to undermine the administrative machinery of the government and against the innocent people and educational, health and other government service personnel, plans to take legal action against those involved in the terror acts and those who encouraged the terror acts, efforts of Myanmar to strengthen the genuine, disciplined multiparty democracy and lead to the building the Union based on democracy and federalism, heartily welcome of Australia to the visit of the Deputy Prime Ministry of Cambodia who is also the special envoy of the Alternate Chairman of the ASEAN on Myanmar to Myanmar and its belief that they would continue the constructive issues related to Myanmar, implementation of the five-point consensus of the ASEAN by Myanmar as much as possible and taking action against terror acts under the international standards, arrangements being made to hold the dialogues, and distinct views for providing assistance to the government and that for the people in aid to the people of Myanmar via AHA Centre as some casualties happened in the outbreak of COVID-19 and conflicts in Myanmar.

After the meeting, the Senior General presented gifts to the Australian Ambassador.
