Order of Pardon
To mark the auspicious period of the Myanmar New Year, to look forward to having friendship relations between countries, and to give special consideration on the humanitarian and compassionate grounds, the Chairman of the State Administration Council, under Sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, has pardoned 42 foreign prisoners, who are serving their sentences in respective prisons/jails, on the condition that “ “if they commit another offence, they will continue to serve the remaining sentences with the new sentences”, and they have been deported.
