Pardon order
In commemoration of Myanmar New Year With the emphasis on peace of mind and humanitarian assistance, the Chairman of the State Administration Council shall grant amnesty for 1,577 prisoners from various prisons / jails / camps under sub-section (1) of Section 401 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
They are pardoned on the condition that "if they commit another offense, they will continue to serve their current sentences."
