SAC information team holds 13th Press Conference

The 13th Press Conference of the Information Team of the State Administration Council was held at the Ministry of Information and team leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, member U Khin Maung Oo of the Union Election, spokespersons and representatives from respective ministries responded to the questions raised by the media.
Ahead of the press conference, necessary medical tests were conducted on attendants to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and they were required to seat at designated distances.
First, team leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun pointed out that Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing has maintained communication links between the Tatmadaw and the media as he regards the media as the fourth estate of the State since he was appointed as the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, the formation of the Information Team and instructing it to maintain the communication between the team and the media, the workshops organized to speed up the information flow between the Tatmadaw and the media by inviting the latter, holding press conferences by the Tatmadaw after assuming state duties by it, holding press conferences and issuing six press releases concerning its requests to settle election disputes in the 2020 General Election in accordance with the rules and regulations to the media by providing full evidence as well as the finding of the new union election commission to the media and diplomats. Then, he raised questions to the media on why the requests of the Tatmadaw and some political parties were rejected, how the NUG has been spending donations and supports it received by selling treasury bonds, bonds,
tickets and projects, according to some media, how the NUG has taken action against the murders of ten people in Sagaing Region , which has been admitted by Bo Thanmini who leads an terrorist organization and committing many murders in Sagaing Region, which media have stood with the people of Inmahti and Zeephyugone villages in Pale Township, who have revealed the tragedies they faced although their village were set on fire by terrorists known as the PDF, if it is the policy of the NUG to assassinate Buddhist monks, innocent people and government staff by making various excuses including the dead of three young novices from Myinkya Ward, Sadaung Town in Sagaing Region in a landmine explosion, if the NUG has adopted a policy to enforce students to study only what they are teaching as the curriculums they are teaching are the same as that of the government and if the media have ever asked the NUG terrorists whether they think those who support it are the supporter of democracy.
Then, Maj-Gen Zaw Min Htun said that the Maha Thingyan festival was organized on a grand scale peacefully in states and regions including the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area despite the incitement of destructive local and foreign media to prevent it.
Then, he widely explained excerpts of the speech on peace delivered by Chairman of the SAC Prime Minster on 22 April 2022, communications between nine out of ten signatories of the NCA and eight out of the eleven non-signatories, the importance of the peace process for the state and the efforts of the government to hold the general election in the entire country as it has promised firmly, agreements reached during the visit of the delegation of the head of the Office of the Special Envoy H. E. Dr. KUNG Phoak, deputy minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation of Cambodia, the efforts of the government to reopen school since its assumption of state duties despite the various intimidations posed to students, parents and teachers by socalled politicians under the terms of military slave education, the success of the Myancopharm vaccination program under the guidance of the Chairman of the SAC by purchasing vaccines from Sinopharm China National Biotech Group through the Ready to Fill Bulk system, the measures taken for sufficient supply of fuel oil, the preparations to send youth esthetes of international sport events and the people-centred security system of the people to quell current violence by using the PowerPoint Presentation.
Then, member U Khin Maung Oo of the UEC explained matters related to the elections to be held by it.
