Chairman of SAC Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing Inspects farms in Yangon Region Command

Chairman of State Administration Council Commanderin-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by entourages, the chief minister and responsible officials, arrived at No.1 Agriculture and Livestock Breeding Farm of the Yangon Region Command and inspected the cultivations of vegetables, and mushrooms and production of eggs reported by responsible officials.

Then, the commander of the Yangon Command reported to the Senior General on agriculture and livestock breeding tasks in the region and distribution of them meat, fish, vegetables, eggs and milk to officers and other ranks and veterans, the police and families at reasonable prices.

After hearing the reports, the Senior General delivered a speech, saying that the aim to carry out agriculture and livestock breeding tasks is to supply meat and vegetables sufficiently to about eight million people in Yangon Region at reasonable prices.

It is necessary to carry out tasks to supply consumer products not only to personnel but also to government staff and the public at lower prices the market without placing emphasis on profit but placing emphasis on welfare. In carrying out livestock breeding tasks, it is necessary to consult with livestock breeding research organizations and to produce healthy products.

It is necessary to coordinate between the regional command and the regional government to supply agriculture and livestock breeding products to staff and the public, to promote the private agriculture and livestock breeding farms while carrying out livestock breeding tasks based on agriculture that will benefit each other. As lower cost for products will lead to cheaper prices of them in turn, it is necessary for the Yangon Region Command and the regional government to successfully coordinate. Moreover, after achieving local food sufficiency, exporting frozen and dried meat and fish and processed foodstuffs is important.

Then, the Senior General and party inspected the agriculture and livestock breeding farms and attended to the needs reported by responsible officers.
