Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla hosted dinner in honour of 76th Anniversary Union Day of the year 2023 at the square in front of City Hall in Nay Pyi Taw this evening.
On arrival at the venue of the dinner at 6 pm, the Senior General and wife were welcomed by SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, Union ministers and wives, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin and ethnic cultural troupes of regions and states.
The Senior General and wife and the Vice-Senior General and wife cordially greeted the attendees, members of ethnic culture troupes from regions and states, chairmen and representatives of political parties, leaders and representatives of NCA-signatory EAOs, ministers for ethnic affairs of regions and states, deputy ministers, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Union ministers, Union level officials and SAC members.
Afterwards, the Senior General and wife enjoyed the dinner together with the attendees.
Before and during the dinner, vocalists of Myanmar Radio modern music band entertained with songs and music.
The Senior General and wife together with the attendees watched the display of fireworks and words honouring the 76th Anniversary Union Day, ethnic and regional descriptive plots, the Flag of Republic of Union of Myanmar, the Senior General’s portrait, picture of Union boat displayed with drones.
After the dinner, the Senior General and wife together with attendees enjoyed the ethnic traditional dances and variety dances staged by artistes of Fine Arts Department (FAD) of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and ethnic culture troupes.
During the entertainment program, FAD performed the play Union Song, Kachin dance troupe, the song Together with new steps, Kayah dance troupe, the song Friendship Dance, Kayin dance troupe, the song Towards a new nation, Chin dance troupe, the song Harvesting Festival, Bamar dance troupe of Mandalay Region, the song Our Union Day, Mon dance troupe, the song The strength of Mon, Rakhine dance troupe, the song Azein Zeikkay, Shan dance troupe, the song The beauty of Kamboza, and FAD, the song Union of the brethren.
After the entertainment program, the Senior General and wife presented flower baskets to the members of ethnic culture troupes.
The SAC Secretary and wife, SAC Joint Secretary and wife,SAC members and their wives, members of SAC Central Advisory Board, retired senior military officers, Union ministers and Union level officers and their wives, the Nay Pyi Taw Council chairman, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives, advisers of SAC Chairman, the Nay Pyi Taw Command commander, deputy ministers, region/state ethnic affairs ministers, leaders and representatives of NCA-signatory EAOs, chairmen and representatives of political parties, departmental officials, ethnic cultural troupes of regions and states and invited guests attended the dinner.
