Representatives of EAOs who attended the 8th Anniversary of NCA celebration call on SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing

    Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received representatives of Ethnic Armed Organizations who attended the 8th Anniversary of signing the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement celebration at the parlor of Bayintnaung Villa in Nay Pyi Taw this morning.

Also present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Chairman of the NationalSolidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and senior military officers. It was attended by Ethnic Armed Organizations KNU/KNLA (PC) Chairman Saw Htaw Lay, Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) Saw Mra Raza Lin, Chairman of Lahu Democratic Union (LDU) Kyar Solomon, Commander of KKO Saw Ba Nyein, Chairman of Pa-O National Liberation Organization Khun Thurein, Patron of PNLO Khun Okkar, Central Executive Committee member Nai Banyar Lel of New Mon State Party (NMSP), and Vice Chairman of All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) U Myo Win.

At the meeting, the Senior General expressed his delightedness at attendance of EAOs to the 8th Anniversary of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) for the sake of internal peace and the Tatmadaw warmly welcomed them. The Senior General explained signing the NCA, plans of the Tatmadaw to continue further talks with those who do not harm Our Three Main National Causes and realization of the multi-party democratic system, discharging the State responsibilities by the Tatmadaw under the Constitution (2008) for emergence of voting frauds in the 2020 multi-party general election, continuous implementation of the NCA by the State and the Tatmadaw, implementation of two national visions such as prosperity of the State and food security and two political visions such as strengthening the disciplined multi-party democratic system and building the Union based on democratic and federal systems by the State Administration Council, needs of all stakeholders with same wills for modernizing the country, participation of all for ensuring peace and stability of the nation and region-wise tranquility, and forging the internal peace process by the Tatmadaw with patience and tolerance.

Representatives of EAOs who attended the anniversary celebration of NCA discussed thanks for holding the 8th Anniversary of the NCA on a grand scale, firmness and existence of NCA without nullification although some organizations issued statements on nullification of the NCA, firm realization of the NCA, suggestions for future process to restore the internal peace, and the situations for organizing the NCA non-signatories to join the NCA. They also cordially focused on appropriate situations for forging the internal peace and region-wise development, and suitable measures to promote education qualification in respective regions.

The Senior General said that the government is striving for peace and stability of the country and development undertakings in line with the motto: Keep Moving Forward To Achieve Our Goal, urging them to participate in the process.
