Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing spectates final match of football tournament of Inter-Technological/Computer Science Universities Games, presents prizes

    The final match of the football tournament of the Inter-Technological/ Computer Science Universities Games took place at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw this evening and Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing spectated the event and presented prizes.

Also present were Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and members of the SAC, union level officials, union ministers, senior Tatmadaw officers, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, director generals, deputy director generals, members of organizing committee for the games, officials, managers coaches and players from teams of the football tournament, faculty members and students from technological universities and universities of computer science, staff families from ministries and sports hobbyists from the public.

First, the Senior General and spectators enjoyed the final match of the football tournament between the Nay Pyi Taw Zone team and the Meiktila Zone team.

Being teams that managed to reach the final match, the two teams played against each other relentlessly and Nay Pyi Taw Zone team scored the first goal from a penalty at 44 minutes of the first half. Then, the Meiktila Zone team scored the equalizer at 62 minutes in the second half but the Nay Pyi Taw Zone team scored another goal at 65 minutes in the second half and won the championship cup 2-1.

After the match, a prize presentation ceremony was held and SAC members Mahn Nyein Maung, Porel Aung Thein, Daw Dwe Bu, U Wunna Maung Lwin, Lt-Gen Nyo Saw and Lt-Gen Yar Pyae presented the best goalkeeper award, the best defender award, the best midfielder award, the best forward award, top goal scorer award and the best player award in the tournament and cash rewards.

Then, SAC members Admiral Tin Aung San and General Mya Tun Oo presented the third prizes and the second prizes for individual players and cash rewards to the Magway Zone team and the Meiktila Zone team respectively.

Afterward, Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo of the SAC presented the first prizes for individual players to members of Nay Pyi Taw Zone team.

Then, the Senior General presented the championship cup and cash rewards to the Nay Pyi Taw Zone team.

After the ceremony, the Senior General and party cordially greeted the players.
