Vice-Senior General Soe Win attends opening of MSME products exhibition and traditional foods sale to commemorate 77th Anniversary of Union Day 2024

      The opening ceremony of the MSME products exhibition and sale of traditional foods to commemorate the 77th Anniversary of the Union Day of 2024 was held this morning at the Tabaung Field south of the Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw, attended by Chairman of the Central Committee for organizing the 77th Anniversary of Union Day Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win.

Present on the occasion were SAC members, union ministers, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, high-ranking military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, deputy ministers, departmental officials.

Those responsible for the department, exhibitors from Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states and ethnic traditional dance troupes.

First, the Vice-Senior General, Union Ministers U Maung Maung Ohn, U Min Naung, U Hla Moe, Dr. Nyunt Pe and Jeng Phang Naw Taung and Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Than Tun Oo formally opened the ceremony by cutting the ribbon.

Then, the Vice-Senior General and party enjoyed dances and a song named ‘Eternal beauty of the Union’ performed by the artists from the Department of Fine Arts under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, the staff from Myanmar Radio and Television under the Ministry of Information, the ethnic traditional dance troupes from Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states and cordially greeted them.

After that, the Vice-Senior General and party visited the MSME roduct exhibition booths and traditional food stalls to commemorate the Union Day anniversary.

The Union Day commemorative MSME product booths and traditional food stalls are being organized with the aim of coordinating with ethnic entrepreneurs to export MSME valueadded products produced by regions and states, OROP products and local products, including exports items and seek market access, increasing production of high-quality products, exchanging information among ethnic entrepreneurs from Nay Pyi Taw, regions and states and seeking coordination, facilitating the advancement of the national prestige and showing off the local traditional handicrafts that can reveal the cultural heritage of the relevant regions and selling local traditional foods produced and sold by the regions and states to the ethnic people with the full essence of the Union.

The booths on display are from the Ministry Cooperatives and Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, 14 booths from the respective regions and states, and booths from Myanmar Economic Corporation (MEC), Myanmar Economic Public Holdings Company Limited, and 19 traditional food stalls from regions and provinces including the Nay Pyi Taw Council. They will be open for sale with entertainment programs from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. every day from February 10 to 14.
