Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win attends 77th Anniversary of Union Day Flag Hoisting and Saluting Ceremony

The 77th Anniversary of Union Day Flag hoisting and saluting ceremony was held at the square in front of the City Hall in Nay Pyi Taw this morning with the attendance of Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win, who read out the message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.
The 77th Anniversary of Union Day was observed with full of essence in accord with the five national objectives: to protect the perpetuity of the Union by the entire ethnic people through the Union spirit; to join hand in harmony with the government, Tatmadaw and the entire people to ensure stability of the State and the rule of law; to promote all-inclusive livestock-based manufacturing industries and MSMEs ensuring socio-economic improvement of the entire ethnic people; to make collaborative efforts of all ethnic nationals to ensure prosperity of the nation and food security which are the two national visions;
and to strive for emergence of a modern and developed country as well as a Union based on democratic and federal systems by all ethnic nationals.
First, the ceremony to hoist the State Flag to mark the 77th Anniversary of Union Day took place at 5.30 am, and the flag hoisting unit together with ethnic nationals hoisted the Flag of the Union of the Republic of Myanmar.
Next, departmental personnel, those from social organizations, ethnic nationals and guests in attendance started marching at 5 am and took their position at the square of the City Hall.
The State Flag saluting ceremony took place at 7 am when the Guard of Honour of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) marched towards and took a position at the square of the City Hall.
Afterwards, Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Thiri Pyanchi Maha Thray Sithu Soe Win, took a position on the podium at the square of the City Hall where the Union Day would be celebrated and took the salute of the Guard of Honour.
Then, the Vice-Senior General, together with the attendees, saluted the Flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar as the Guard of Honour played the National Anthem.
The Vice-Senior General read the Union Day message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing, and then the ceremony concluded.
The ceremony was also attended by Union-level dignitaries, union ministers, the Auditor-General of the Union, the Chairman of Union Civil Service Board, the Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Chairman of Anti-Corruption Commission, the Chairman of Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, senior military officers, judges of the Supreme Court of the Union, deputy ministers, members of Union Civil Service Board, members of Myanmar National Human Rights Commission, members of Anti-Corruption Commission, members of Nay Pyi Taw Council, departmental heads, personnel of ministries,ethnic cultural troupes, ethnic representatives and guests.
