Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar

    Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar H.E. Mr. J.M.J.P. Bandara, who had completed tour of duties in Myanmar, at the parlour of his office here this morning.

Also present at the call together with the Senior General were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and officials.

At the meeting, views on bilateral friendly relations and diplomatic ties, mutual cooperation in religious affairs, Myanmar monks and nun pursuing education in Sri Lanka, Myanmar’s conferring of religious titles on eminent monks of Sri Lanka, bilateral cooperation in developing tourism, trade and investment promotion between the two countries, cooperation in education sector, Myanmar’s preparation to hold a free and fair election were cordially exchanged.

After the meeting, the Senior General and the Ambassador exchanged commemorative gifts.
