Authorities sent them to a 500- bed hospital for emergency treatments.

AA terrorists have been frequently dropping bombs and firing heavy weapons at busy places in wards and villages in Sittway with the aim of affecting the socio-economic life, causing concerns and instabilities among the residents of Sittwe and they brutally fired heavy weapons 13 times at villages in Sittway Station on 28 February, Myoma Market, locally known as the Korean Port Market, at about 8 am on 29 February, Kathe Ward in Sittwe at about 10.10 pm on 9 March, No.7 Basic Education High School in Padalake Village in Sittwe at 12.15 pm on 11 March, the school in Shwe Pyi Thar Village in Sittwe Township bat 9.30 am on 13 March and at residential quarters in Setyonsu (2) Konbaung Ward.

Due to terrorist heavy weapon attacks of the AA on towns and Villages, 18 local residents including a 12-year old child were killed and other 47 people including two students who were sitting for the matriculation examinations were injured and damaged schools, houses and departmental buildings.

Despite claims of the interests of Rakhine State, AA terrorists, who are carrying out sabotage acts, are intentionally firing heavy weapons at, launching offensives in, targeting students and education facilities in towns and villages, which are otherwise stable and peaceful.

Therefore, attacking schools and residential quarters which are not military targets amounts to committing war crimes under the Geneva Convention and is completely unacceptable and strongly condemned.
