Military columns join full-dressed rehearsal for 79th Anniversary Armed Forces Day parade

    The military columns that will take part in the 79th Anniversary Armed Forces Day parade on 27 March 2024 participated in the full-dressed rehearsal at the Nay Pyi Taw parade ground this morning.

During the military parade rehearsal, Anawrahta Column, Kyansittha Column, Bayintnaung Column, Aung Zeya Column, Hsinphyushin Column, Bandoola Column and Aung San Column marched from the Thittat parade ground to the Nay Pyi Taw Parade Ground to the accompaniment of the military band singing and marching in unison.

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, Union Minister for Defence Admiral Tin Aung San, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice Admiral Zwe Win Myint, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, Chairman of the Armed Forces Day Organizing Management Committee Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Maj-Gen Saw Than Hlaing and officials inspected the rehearsal, and the Vice-Senior General attended to the needs.

The parade rehearsal comprised officers and other ranks from the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and the Myanmar Police Force, female service personnel, women’s special forces and aircraft and helicopters from the Tatmadaw (Air).
