SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing leaves for Thailand to attend sixth BIMSTEC summit

 

NAY PYI TAW April 3

      A high-level Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Nay Pyi Taw Tatmadaw Airport for Thailand at 2 pm this afternoon by special flight to attend the sixth BIMSTEC summit to be held in Thailand and the delegation was seen off at the airport by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, the SAC secretary and members, union ministers, the Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air), senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar H.E.Mr. Suphatra Srimaitreephithak and officials.

The Senior General was accompanied by SAC Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo, union ministers U Than Swe and Admiral Moe Aung, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, deputy ministers and military and civilian officers.

The high-level delegation led by the Senior General arrived at Wing-6 of Don Muang Airport at 3.50 pm local time and were greeted by Thai Minister of Labour H.E. Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakan and Ambassador of Myanmar to Thailand U Zaw Zaw Soe and officials.

During the trip, the Senior General will attend the sixth BIMSTEC summit and hold discussions over the situation caused by the powerful earthquake and cooperation with the international community to carry out relief and rehabilitation efforts effectively with heads of state who will attend the summit.
